Hot Toys Iron Man War Machine Mark IV - 1/6 MMS499 D26 - photo and video review

This week the Hot Toys War Machine Mark IV diecast figure released in Hong Kong. Another extreme example of Hot Toys engineering and painting capabilities - this is a pretty amazing figure release and a must for a War Machine fan. This edition stands out with camoflage pattern, heavy weapons all over and some red accents on the chest armor. The Don Cheadle headsculpt though remains the same as before with the Mark 2 re-release and is only available with a helmet on. This is a bit of a pitty since in the movie he had the helmet off most of the time and not semi-closed. Enjoy some photos of the figure and the vid review. Please be really careful when posing the legs - the edges on the waist area are easily scratchable, see the video for all the details on this potential issue.

Hot Toys War Machine Special Version (not Milk) MMS166 - video and photo review

I came across this figure at a local toy fair and could have a look at it (brand new). This War Machine Special Edition was never on my initial must buy list but i saved some budget this month not picking up other recent releases, so I decided to add this to my ever growing Iron Man Hot Toys collection. The paint scheme is really unique which was my main buying reason.

Check out some photos and a video review. I also included a comparison to the original War Machine:

An important information if you consider buying this: there are 2 versions of this figure. One is the normale Special edition (this here) and then there is the "Milk" edition which gives you an additional stand with a Milk logo on it (from what I know Milk is a magazine in Hong-Kong). The milk version is even more rare and will cost you an additional 100 - 200 USD, and beware that you don't get fooled with eBay offers that want to sell you a Milk version which are in reality just normal special editions, so have an eye out for this. The normal special edition is rising in terms of pricing too, currently mid 2015 you have to calculate around 500 - 600 USD - which is heavy for a repaint.

Hot Toys Iron Man 2 War Machine 1/6

So we all saw the "Milk" Special version announcment of the War Machine 1/6 figure by Hot Toys last week.

Does anyone really does really care about this figure? Be serious! Is there any real incentive in buying this one when already having the original War Machine? I really don't think so (especially on the estimated price around 200 USD).

Convince yourself by taking a look at the following photos of the original war machine suit - a definite keeper.
