Coolprops Alien 1 Life-Size replica prop bust - approved by H.R. Giger Museum

It took some time but it has finally relased: the Coolprops Alien 1 big chap life-size bust prop replica. This is my first life-size bust and will definitely receive a special place in my colletion room - probably on a wall mount.

The first impression is stunning. It's officially approved by the H.R. Giger Museum in Gruyère, Switzerland. Along with the piece you'll get a certificate of authenticity which is signed by the museums director & former wife of H.R. Giger: Carmen Giger Scheifele - a great addition and the best we can get as proud legacy of Hansruedi.

Update: I found time to wall mount the Giger bust with a glass shelf (4 screws, holds up to 25kg - the bust itself with the base is approx 14kg).

Hot Toys Iron Man Mark VI -1/6 MMS378 D17 - photo and video review

I missed out to put this review on by blog at the time i got the latest Hot Toys Iron Man release: It was the Mark VI re-release and what a beauty it is. I was always a fan of this movie's suit with the triangular shaped arc reactor.

Hot Toys definitely put a lot of work into this re-release and it's far superios t han the first release, altough it's missing some parts like the battle damaged arm you get a lot of new pieces and a great base with light up stairs.

Hot Toys Rocket deluxe Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 -1/6 MMS411 - photo and video review

The second figure in Hot Toys Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 line has arrived- Rocket Raccoon. I went for the deluxe version which I highly recommend getting if you're on the fence to decide between the two verison. You'll just feel a bit better when shelling out so much money for this rather little figure when getting the huge minigun and the secondary headsculpt for only 25 USD more. The paintjob is making quite a difference compared to the first version and the aggressive posed headsculpt is really well done. Also the dancing groot is a nice throw in. But what out for the small translucent holding piece to put groot on the shoulder of Rocket - it can tear the shoulder leather pad! Also i hoped for better flying poses options...it's just not well though trough by Hot Toys (jetpack and the tail are blocking the posing range.) It's up to you to decide if this is worth your money.

Hot Toys Starlord Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 -1/6 MMS421 - photo and video review

Hot Toys is kicking of their Guardians of the Galaxy 2 line with Starlod. This release is packed with a lot of nice accessories and alternative outfits. Especially if you go for the deluxe version which includes the large leather coat, a scarf, an activating helmet & a purple shirt. The baby groot is a neat throw in and you can place him on Starlords shoulder - great idea.
